Together we explore cultural production from many Spanish-speaking communities, with a focus on U.S. Latino Heritage I is an intermediate course designed for students with a personal, familial, or community connection to Spanish (taught in Spanish and Spanglish). Conducted in Spanish.Ĭontinued development of Spanish-language skills, emphasis on diversity of Hispanic cultures. Or is it because these "listings" specify who can apply? Maybe you should go further afield for translation work than these "listings".Emphasis on the development of speaking, reading, and writing skills introduction to Hispanic culture. Why is this a problem for you, btw? Is it that you don't want to translate into a specific designated version of Spanish. You asked about other languages, and that is why I answered. "labor" (Canada also includes the "u", and the idea of people being paid by "check" rather than 'cheque" always looks odd to me. When translating a document, unless specified, I ask my client where the document will be read so that I can adjust accordingly. It would be nice to have that acknowledged. I have just finished telling you my experience as a translator working in these languages and working on these languages. As a freelance translator, I get work from clients, not listings. To start with, I'm not sure what you mean by "listings". Each country has its own version of it called " Asociación de Academias de la Lengua Española." English does not have an official regulating body, except in South Africa, ( ) Rae.es is the official dictionary used to regulate the Spanish language. This could be a huge misunderstanding that needs clearing up asap. I just see French/English or English/Italian, etc, but I do see this a lot for Spanish. I have not seen any jobs listing European French or British English. In Germany, a Hochschule is an institute of higher learning such as a university in Switzerland it depends which canton you are in - it could be a high school. I translate into English from French and German and there are differences in French and German as well, depending on whether you are in Switzerland, Austria, etc., not to mention some countries on the continent of Africa that were former French colonies and use that language. There are some terminology differences between Canadian French and France French. In the US and Canada you put gas in your truck and you might lift the hood. In Britain you put petrol in your lorry and you might lift the bonnet. The reason why I made this post, is because I don't really notice this occurring in other languages that are spoken in more than one country, ( English, French, Arabic, German, Portuguese, Italian, etc ) Originally written by Rodney Rios on Monday, Janu4:58 AM UTC
